Reginald Tucker was born in Hurst on 22nd April 1891 to Thomas and Elizabeth Tucker. He was baptised in St.Nicholas Church on the 7th June that year. In 1901 the family were living at Murrel Green.

Reginald was a chorister at St.Nicholas Church and later became a bellringer. By 1911 he was lodging at Haines Hill and working as a domestic gardener.

In 1915 he went overseas, arriving in France on 29th May. A year later he was awarded the Milliary Medal.

After the war Reginald was demobilized, and was living with his brothers Frederick, Ernest (or Edward) and Percy, in Watmore Lane, Winnersh. He married Clara Maude Booth (born in Hurst, 30th December 1892) at St.Nicholas Church on 20th April 1921. His younger brother Percy was a witness. He and Clara were living at West Woodhay House near Newbury, where he was working as a gardener.

Reginald died in Hurst on 6th July 1968.
