Percy Jackman was born on 1st January 1917 to Charles and Lucy Jackman.
In 1939 the family were living at 1 Rose Cottage, Lodge Road, Hurst.
Percy's younger brothers Cyril and Cecil were also living there.
Percy was employed as a biscuit factory general worker, most probably at Huntley & Palmer in Reading.
His father Charles was a furniture removals foreman.
They shall not grow old,
as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them,
nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun,
and in morning
We will remember them.
